These instructions will answer many of the questions you might have concerning your graduate’s commencement and help to make the conferral of his or her degree a memorable and joyous experience for you both.

Guests and Tickets

Guest limitations and ticket requirements are subject to change each semester based on the number of graduates for your college and venue capacity. Please visit your college commencement website for more information.

Accessibility

Parking: For an ADA access map of campus, visit the ADA Access Interactive Map. Parking in these lots is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please allow extra time for traffic and parking when planning your visit. A valid, state-issued ADA placard or license plate is required for ADA parking.

Seating: ADA seating will be available in each venue.

Bryce Jordan Center: For access to ADA seating, arrive early and visit guest relations near Gate A or C on event day. No reservations are taken. One companion is permitted in the ADA seating area. Contact (814) 865-5555 or BJCTicketCenter@psu.edu for more information.

Pegula: Upon entering Gate A, team members can direct guests requiring ADA seating and one companion to the designated area. No reservations are taken and we recommend to arrive early. For inquiries, contact (814) 865-4102 or pegulaicearena@psu.edu.

If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation not mentioned above or have questions about the physical access provided for Commencement, please contact the Office of Campus and Community Events at graduation@psu.edu. Accommodation arrangements should be made at least 2 weeks before commencement to allow sufficient time to effectively meet your access needs.

Venue Bag Policies

In adherence to best practices at major entertainment venues, walk-through metal detectors are in use at all entry gates, and there are restrictions on the size and type of bag permitted into the arena for all ceremonies. See your college commencement page for more details.

Photos and Livestream

Guests are welcome to bring any hand-held photo and video device that can be used from their seats.

Commencement ceremonies are live streamed and available following commencement.
